Set up a workspace

This page explains how to create a workspace in Storyteq CMP Professional and connect it to a LUMA instance. A workspace must be connected to LUMA before any portals can be configured. For an explanation of what workspaces are and how they relate to portals and LUMA, see Understanding workspaces and portals.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  • Access to the Storyteq CMP Professional administration interface.

  • A LUMA instance deployed and accessible.

  • A LUMA service account token: see Create a LUMA service account.

Create the workspace

  1. Sign in to Storyteq CMP Professional. The workspace manager opens, listing any previously created workspaces.

  2. Select Add Workspace.

  3. In the Name field, enter a name for the workspace.

The workspace name is used internally for reference only. It is not visible to end users.
  4. In the URL field, enter the URL that users will navigate to in order to reach this workspace.

  5. Select Next.

Connect to LUMA

  1. In the Link field, enter the URL of your LUMA deployment.

  2. In the Authentication Type field, select Luma.

Keycloak is supported as an alternative authentication type for specific implementations. Keycloak configuration is outside the scope of this guide.
  3. In the Service Token field, enter the secret key from your LUMA service account.

  4. Select Save.

The modal closes and the new workspace appears in the workspace manager.

Edit or delete a workspace

To edit or delete a workspace, select the … menu in the top-right corner of the workspace card.

Select Edit to update the workspace name, URL, LUMA link, authentication type, or service token. Select Delete to permanently remove the workspace.

Deleting a workspace removes all associated portals and configuration and cannot be undone.
